Goals and Objectives
The goals and objectives of the program are to make the best community possible by eliminating the visual blight of graffiti and provide immediate lasting solutions.
The Graffiti Removal Program provides a simple and complete program to eradicate graffiti within the City using all available resources and reasonable efforts.
Graffiti removal is an important part of the City's efforts to ensure residents can relax and enjoy a safe and beautiful place to live, work, and play. Graffiti removal services provides the residents of the community with a complete and citywide anti-graffiti program. The City accepts zero tolerance toward graffiti and the graffiti offender.
The City provides the 24-hour graffiti hotline for quick reporting purposes so that anyone can call the graffiti hotline at (323) 584-6380 anytime and leave a message indicating what the graffiti is, the approximate address of the graffiti, and what the graffiti is on (e.g. wall, window, sidewalk, light pole, etc.).
There are several ways to report graffiti on City or private property and request removal:
- Call the 24 hour graffiti hotline at (323) 584-6380
- Call Public Works Department at (323) 584-6274 during normal business hours, Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
& Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays
- Create a service request on the free mobile app available for both iPhone and Android search for "myHuntingtonParkApp" in the google play store for Android or in the app store for iPhone
Graffiti abatement is provided by Public Works staff which strives to remove all graffiti within 24 to 48 hours. The Public Works Department makes the elimination of graffiti a top priority, but we can't be successful without everyone's help.
