Senior Program

The Huntington Park Senior Program offers people over 62 years older a variety of fun and enjoyable activities at the Huntington Park Community Center. 

The Huntington Park Senior Program will be re-opening to the public on July 7, 2021. The Senior Center will be operating on a modified scheduled and in a limited capacity. Programing will be held on Monday's and Wednesday's, 9:00 am to 10:00 am and 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Participation in these sessions is by pre-registration only by contacting the Department of Parks & Recreation at 323-584-6218

Activities



Sessions of activities are held from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY
by appointment.

Seniors can participate in any of the following activities during program hours: 

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Recipes of the Month
  • Workshops
  • Knitting Club
  • Basic Computer Skills 
  • Nature Walks 
  • Exercise

Trips & Dances


In addition to the free daily activities, the Senior Program offers other fun opportunities to socialize including senior dances and our bimonthly casino day trips. There is a small fee for dances and trips.

​At this time all trips and dances will be postponed until further notice.
