The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will hold a hearing to consider an Order of Abatement as the result of emissions from Exide Technologies. Exide operates a lead-acid battery recycling plant in the City of Vernon. The SCAQMD Hearing Board will receive testimony from members of the public on the initial hearing date. The SCAQMD will provide free bus service to and from Cal State Los Angeles. Buses will depart from Salt Lake Park every hour on the hour beginning at 8:00 am. Buses will continuously depart from Cal State Los Angeles and return to Salt Lake Park throughout the day.
