  4. Mayor Marilyn Sanabria and the City Council are excited to announce the annual Mayor's Holiday Award for 2023. Each holiday season, a group of residents that display the holiday spirit in decorating their homes, and apartments are recognized.

  6. Nomination period being Wednesday, November 20 and it will close on Wednesday, December 13, at 5:30 pm.

    Nominations can be submitted by filling out the form below, in-person at the Receptionist desk located inside City Hall (6550 Miles Ave), or by calling (323) 582-6161 or (323) 584-6221.

    The Best Neighborhood category should consist of a group of at least four homes next to each other. No more than two non-decorated homes may separate the decorated homes.

  16. All nominated homes and apartments will be visited by Mayor Marilyn Sanabria, and the judging committee beginning at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Please make sure your decorative lights are on display during those hours.  Please make sure your lights and visible from the street. 

  18. Winners will be notified by telephone if provided or in person. Winners will receive a certificate of recognition, a gift card and a Mayor's decorative sign to display in front of their home. The gift cards, certificates will be presented to the winners at an upcoming Council meeting.
