A Better LA launched “A Healthier & Better LA” an innovative healthcare program for local, at-risk community outreach workers and their families who currently do not have healthcare coverage. Through the program, workers and their families will receive assistance in enrolling in healthcare coverage. Through the generosity of actress and A Better LA board member Sharon Stone, the first year premium for everyone who participates in the healthcare program will be paid in full. An estimated 50 local community outreach workers and their families will participate in this unique pilot program.

Sharon Stone joined the Huntington Park City Council and other local officials to announce the healthcare program at A Better Thrift Shop on Pacific Blvd. in Huntington Park.
