A Better LA is launching “A Healthier & Better LA” an innovative healthcare program for local, at-risk community outreach workers and their families who currently do not have healthcare coverage. Through the program, workers and their families will receive assistance in enrolling in healthcare coverage. Through the generosity of actress and A Better LA board member Sharon Stone, the first year premium for everyone who participates in the healthcare program will be paid in full. An estimated 50 local community outreach workers and their families will participate in this unique pilot program.

The program will be announced at a media event hosted by Sharon Stone at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at A Better Thrift Shop, 6200 Pacific Blvd.
