Cosme Lozano, Chief of Police


Chief Lozano Headshot_thumb.jpgCosme Lozano is a 28 year veteran of the Huntington Park Police Department, who grew up in the Huntington Park community, graduating from Huntington Park High School. Mr. Lozano began his law enforcement career at the Huntington Park Police Department in 1987 and has worked as a Community Service Officer, Police Dispatcher, Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Assistant Chief of Police. Mr. Lozano strongly believes that collaboration between police and community is critical in addressing crime and quality of life issues. He is committed to ensuring that Huntington Park remains a great place to live, work, and have fun.

Responsibilities and Divisions

The Huntington Park Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency serving a population of over 60,000 residents. The Huntington Park Police Department is composed of 117 full-time employees which includes 72 sworn personnel and 45 civilian employees. The Department also has 25 part-time employees. The Huntington Park Police Department is made up of various divisions and works with the community in addressing crime and quality of life issues.
