Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday:  8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
                         Sunday: Closed


Welcome to the Department of Parks & Recreation. The department offers a wide range of recreational classes and activities; youth and adult sports leagues; youth programs; and open park and athletic facilities.

  • With summer already here, it is time to register for summer fun.  Boys and girls ages 6-12 years old are invited to join the City of Huntington Park’s Summer Day Camp for 6 weeks of excitement.  Register weekly or for all 6 weeks.  Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning on June 29, 2014.  Camp includes a lunch for all participants.  Camp is limited and fills up quickly, so be sure to register soon.  For more information on summer camp, please click here.

  • Grab a racket and head to the tennis courts if you want to learn tennis strategies and techniques!  Sponsored by the Southern California Tennis Association and the National Junior Tennis League, this program will be offered at $10 per participant from June 22 through August 1.
  • Children ages 18 and under will receive a FREE nutritious lunch at local parks June 7 through August 9.  Lunches are served Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Freedom Park, Keller Park and Salt Lake Park. Please note that all meals must be consumed on site.

  • Huntington Park’s newest jewel – the Honorable Kevin de Léon Campo de Fútbol at Salt Lake Park – officially opened following a grand opening celebration on September 6, 2014.  For more information about the soccer field, please click here
