Welcome to the Department of Parks & Recreation. The department offers a wide range of recreational classes and activities; youth and adult sports leagues; youth programs; and open park and athletic facilities.

  • Come and join the City of Huntington Park for an evening of holiday cheer and family fun as we sing traditional carols and experience the awe-inspiring lighting of our holiday tree.  The year's event will surely be yet another wonderful evening filled with the joy of the holiday season.  The event will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 5 p.m. in front of City Hall (6550 Miles Ave.) and will feature food, entertainment and of course a visit from Santa Claus himself!   
  • Little Dribblers Basketball League registration will be held from December 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015.  This program is designed for boys and girls ages 4-6 to introduce basic basketball fundamentals, such as shooting and passing.  Click here for all of the details.
  • Huntington Park’s newest jewel – the Honorable Kevin de Léon Campo de Fútbol at Salt Lake Park – officially opened following a grand opening celebration on September 6, 2014.  For more information about the soccer field, please click here
  • The City of Huntington Park will host its 1st Annual Quinceañera and Wedding Expo on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Salt Lake Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This expo is free to the public and will feature a dress and tuxedo fashion show, raffles and more.  If you are interested in sponsorship or vendor opportunities, please contact Recreation Specialist Janie Loera at , or by phone at (323) 584-6218.
