  1. FREE Bicycle Safety Classes (Sponsored by Metro)

    August 29, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Various Locations

    Learn to ride your bicycle comfortably and safely in the streets! Metro is currently offering free classes at three different skill levels through the end of September. You will receive a helmet, bicycle light set, and safety manual after completing a course. Must be 14 or older to attend. Entry Level Classes (2 hours; In classroom; No bike) For recreational riders ready to venture beyond their neighborhood! Intermediate Commuting Classes (3 hours; In classroom & on bike) Learn the basics of riding safely in the streets and practice in a community group ride. Traffic Skills 101 Classes (8 hours; In classroom & on bike) Our most comprehensive course that teaches everything you will need to ride safely with traffic. Presented over two days, first in-classroom instruction only, followed by on-bike learning. Classes will be held throughout the region, from Downtown L.A. to Long Beach, the San Fernando Valley to the Westside. Register for open classes using the link provided.

  1. Senior Dance Club

    August 31, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Huntington Park Community Center

    It’s Time to Dance! This club offers seniors the opportunity to stay fit while listening to a variety of music ranging from merengue, cumbias, rancheras, salsa, rumba and more. Join these friendly active seniors at the Huntington Park Community Center and dance away the afternoon. Participation in this club is FREE and is held every Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
