  1. UPW Job Fair

    United Pacific Waste (UPW) – the new solid waste management contractor for the City of Huntington Park – is looking for qualified sanitation truck operators and general administrative personnel who live in Huntington Park. UPW will hold a job fair to find local employees as it begins trash collection service in Huntington Park on January 1, 2015.

    October 29, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Huntington Park Community Center

    United Pacific Waste (UPW) – the new solid waste management contractor for the City of Huntington Park – is hosting a town hall meeting to give residents and commercial customers a detailed overview of their new trash collection service, which starts on January 1. UPW management will be on hand to answer questions from residents and business owners about the new trash service and the transition from the current service providers.

  3. Exide public workshop

    October 30, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ SCAQMD Headquarters

    On October 30, 2014, SCAQMD will hold a public Workshop on proposed amended rule (PAR) 1420.1 “Emission Standards for Lead and other Toxic Air Contaminants from Large Lead-acid Battery Recycling Facilities.” This public workshop has been scheduled to present and receive information and suggestions from the public regarding PAR 1420.1.

Parks and Recreation

  1. Senior Trip: Agua Caliente Casino

    October 30, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM @ Huntington Park Community Center

    The City of Huntington Park is hosting senior trips to the Spotlight Casino (September 4), Agua Caliente Casino (October 30), and Fantasy Casino (November 20).   1. Keep Our City Clean-Cleanup Event

    October 25, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Middleton Elementary School (in front of Malabar St.)

    Come join us as we conduct a clean up effort and beautify our city and have fun doing it. Light refreshments and equipment will be provided. This is a great opportunity for students to earn service credits. Come and meet your neighbors; merchants and corporate volunteers welcome.
